Slitting, Slicing or Rewinding: Which Machine Does Your Tape Plant Need?

Three converting machines that are often confused — what each one does and when you need it.

Automatic tape slicer machine

Slitting machine

Works on a running web. It takes a wide coated jumbo and slits it into narrower widths. Use it when you start from jumbo rolls.

Slicer (log roll cutter)

Works on a wound log roll. A rotating blade cuts the log into individual rolls. Use it when you need high piece counts of narrow tape, such as PVC insulation tape.

Rewinder and doctor rewinder

A rewinder re-spools material to the length and diameter you sell. A doctor rewinder recovers usable tape from defective rolls, cutting wastage. Our rewinders run from 25 mm to 1600 mm working width with 1–5 HP drives.

How to choose

Start from what you buy (jumbo or log rolls) and what you sell (widths, lengths, piece counts). Share both in a quote request and our engineers will suggest the combination.
